Dr. Shuyang Si earned his Ph.D. in Applied Economics and Management from the Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University in 2021. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Economics at the International Business School Suzhou (IBSS), Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. He is a recipient of the Shuang Chuang Ph.D. award from Jiangsu Province, and also serves as a Faculty Associate at the Cornell University Think-tank for Resources, Energy, and the Environment: Science and Policy-related Economic Analysis and Research (TREESPEAR), Program Director for the BSc Economics and Finance program, and academic advisor to the Student Economics Exploration and Development Society (S.E.E.D.S.).
His research encompasses consumer behavior, AI-human interaction, food policy and marketing, energy and environmental economics, and policy analysis.
His research has appeared in internationally recognized journals, including Energy Economics, Technology in Society, and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, among others — all classified as CAS Tier 1 journals.
